I can safely say you don't know the difference between 'registered users' (I mean that in the most liberal of senses) and active users. If I were management, I'd stick to focusing on implementing the VIP model properly as it is far more lucrative. Then worry about shoving adverts down users throats. Barely enough incentive to keep users logged on as is.

Cornerstoned - Yawn. Already refuted this by stating that ESH pay an contracted 'marketing' fee to Razer, which over the course of the deal, will see Razer recoup most of their initial stake in ESH, whether this venture sinks or swims. It's basically a no-brainer on Razers behalf. That alone doesn't instil me with much confidence.

I think the 27m~ cap is more than generous for a company that according to their financials, makes $0 and burns money at an alarming rate. You and all the other dreamers can hypothesise about the 'what-ifs' while the insto's are dumping based on the tangibles.
