there are algorithmic systems; order management systems; all manner of systems that are automated,used by all the big institutions to acheive their objectives for clients.


in cases like afg you must beleive in the fundamentals of the business,particularly management ability just think the current market cap is less than basic eps before costs that is,the current course of sales says this equity is under management, not necessarily attack,they estimate 30% of larger stocks are under some automated umbrella.


i dont know what rules there are in the usa they have rules, the asx is attractive to these systems because of lack of rules and lax management,although i beleive they are becoming more active as overseers

i wish i had an ultimate counter to profit from these systems, and like many of you i lose confidence sell and watch the stock move in a seemingly erratic manner and finally up usually within 2-3 days of my sale


this is boredom relief waiting for afg announcement,they have tight control of all news at present,the system depends on no leakage but you should note the media are busy providing irrelevant negative press on afg---only time will tell
