How are you sure they have nil control? I imagine they’re in contact, and I imagine due to that contact they’re in the know about what the plan is. For something so significant, ‘plan to’ and ‘intend to’ within a 6 month window is just too vague, regardless if they ran the trial or not. They can do better. They’re a key stakeholder in this, they should know more (and they probably do) and should be communicating it.
