Hard done by pensioners can simply move to a pooled fund to keep their franking credits. Surely Frydenberg has better things to waste his time on, like working out how to set up a tendering process for half billion dollar projects or the like.
This show exactly what Labor's policy is about and they will not admit ,if all SMSFs put their super into union funds the government would collect no extra revenue from franking credits if they want it to be fair it should apply equally to all super accounts or not at all, they say they will introduce negative gearing changes and they will be grandfathered, they say they will change capital gains tax and again this will be grandfathered, this is inconsistent and in line with Bowens claim of a franking credit refund of $2.4 million what he either did not know or deliberately failed to say that this was in 2014/2015 tax year and before $1.6 million cap was introduced.
