I am with CoYs view: all the statements he made can be backed by fact and reasoning. The two responders on the other hand have simply attacked the messenger, offered no facts and referred to a scientific opinion that I am sure they could not substantiate (the IPCC source and how it came into being and it's various motivations). I am sorry to drag this nonsense out longer. There is no point explaining facts to people captured by the rent seekers and no need to drag PLS forum into another pointless discussion. I need to remind myself of the book of Proverbs Chapter 26 verse 4. My motivation in posting is to support people stating the truth in the face of ideological opposition.
Having said that I fully support EV technology as a way of various types of pollution in congested areas (not just the production of the actually vital for the survival of life on Earth gas: CO2) but don't kid yourself - until the electricity generation is not coal fired the pollution is simply displaced. Go ahead PLS and help save the planet by providing the materials for solar charged batteries, which will have a bigger impact on the still miniscule impact of CO2 output then just getting the vehicles. Go ahead and support PLS for whatever motivates you but don't sprout propaganda. P.S. Forest Gump is a great movie and the character portrayed displays more intelligence and reasoning than most people on Earth.
