Pretty close with the Rorschach comparison at a psychological level...
Although "ink blots" per se will be the last thing I want to see in my pieces.
Not sure about the symbolic archetypes and iconographic references though, as I view these as having a more ephemeral derivative...but I really want to go back further than that, deep into our primal psyche, to stuff we have long forgotten.
lol...sounds like a wank, I know...but the end result shouldn't be...and that is the point of it all.
Many artists can evoke a reaction from the viewer, but typically these are relative to their own lives...which by its very nature will carry modern undertones...as such, what might evoke happy memories for one will do the opposite for another.
It will depend on their own life experiences.
Deeper than that however are the primal, hard-wired areas of our brains...areas that life experiences do not impact…this is what I want to tap.
Anyway, I think the mods have been kind enough here...we better get back to discussing CVI...lol
Cheers!
