Just sharing some of my Mali readings over the past couple of weeks:

Mali mining code looking like it might be introduced late 2019. Comments from the ministry: 'mining sector in Mali has experienced it's best economic performance in the last 20 years', 'new mining code will be attractive to investors'.

Looks like changes to future mining code could actually be positive for miners in Mali!

Also, a PFS has recently been initiated for a proposed rail link from Kayes through Bamako all the way to Kidal. First stage would be Kayes to Bamako, which would connect us to the Senegalese rail line to Dakar.

On top of this, Sengalese elections are about to commence, the rehabilitation of the Dakar-bamako line was one of the major points of discussion, with all candidates vowing to start work on this line once elected. 12 trains have already been sent to dbf to recommence operations on the line.
