    Suppose somehow you buy @ $20 and sell @$21 and it keeps oscillating between 20 and 21 every week for a year. I would rather do the weekly trade than buy and hold for 52 weeks, tax discount or not. 
    this is not what apt has done but it illustrates when the trade strategy us superior.
