    The official story is:
    1. The recordings received by the adjudicators were corrupted and could not be used.
    2. The original recordings were still available so the corrupted recordings could be replaced.
    3. Adjudication would then proceed for croup.

I was sceptical at the time because I didn't understand how only the croup recordings could be corrupted while the adjudicators got all the other recordings in good condition.  Even if croup is being adjudicated by a different group they need to get all the recordings because "not croup" is as important as "croup" as an outcome.

Now another four months have gone by still with no croup results, the sound-quality explanation has pretty much lost all credibility.  It cannot possibly take this long to adjudicate a single condition.  The first round of results, for a range of conditions, were announced four weeks after recruitment was completed.  Croup has taken a further sixteen weeks, and counting...

Whatever the reasons, I fully expect the croup results will be a complete disaster when they're eventually released.
