I seen enough abuse in my country community.
A fifteen year old student from our small town shot himself on their front lawn due to his abusive parents.

Then there were the alcoholic and mentally unwell men who received no help in the 60's and 70's.

We have come a long way since then regarding medicine and welfare, but I've seen enough to say a bit of boy fiddling by a priest was was wrong--- but nothing compared  to what was going on and destroying families in even the smallest of bush towns.
