Not so sure that language is such a barrier. MF indicated half a year ago that the company is ready for Europe. Translation of app and firmware in the watch and a multi language website would probably be a small cost compared with advertising, EU privacy compliance etc.
Re 3G - interesting that Aus and NZ is on 850 and 2100 MHz - UK and Aus on 2100 and Canada and Aus on 850.
I wonder what that means in terms of the performance of the watch. On the Spacetalk website, being on both bands of coverage is seen as an advantage, presumably contributing to reliability of coverage.
I also wonder if the 3G capability is something which is governed by hardware or configured by firmware. Perhaps someone with a bit of tech expertise could answer that. Seems to me that if the device is able to be configured for a variety of 3G bands, there is no issue. Could be that the watch is configured already for all 3G networks around the world???
