I found this interesting article on Bots. The main advantages I can see are that they take all the emotion out of trading, they respond to TA as well as can machine learn. Scares the heck out of me though, imagine if there’s ever a software glitch, or a computer virus, and the Bot started buying or selling stuff you don’t want, ugh. It doesn’t look like they are designed to manipulate the SP ... by placing lots of small sell orders or buy orders, to create a bit of panic hoping to get other traders to follow. Does anyone know more or have experience using Bots?
