Yeah, and have you visited an in-progress drill site? there are quite a few trucks aren't there, all arranged like a circle of wagons. One of those trucks is a water truck. Drilling costs money, you got mobilization, standby, active drilling, tripping rods, and consumables like pvc, fuel, drilling mud, and water. So when the mining company is paying by the litre of water to cover the cost of the water used according to the drilling contract, why would the land owner have any say? The water on the site shouldn't matter at all, it doesn't to other companies with active drilling campaigns so why should it here? If anything, I'd imagine that the farmer should be thankful because he will get a sump full of muddy water for him to sneak up to and steal from during the drought.
