That's an interesting way of looking at a stock. I'd say for every 1 blue chip that fail there are 10 mid sized firms and 100 speccy stocks. But like I've mentioned before, everyone has a different risk appetite. It's like me investing in PLS, a much more mature lithium stock that might not have huge resource of AVZ. I like the lithium sector but I choose to pick a stock that's less risky in that space. At the end of the day it's risk reward. I have less of a chance of losing money, while forgoing the opportunity for a 100 bagger. It's a very conscious decision that I'm happy with. Remember, I'm not talking APT vs SPT, my original comment was targeted at a comment from someone who said he doesn't know why anyone would invest in APT.
