I believe the ALP will take a more enlightened view on science and innovation. They won't pass lumps of coal around Parliament as some kind of stunt and giggle like imbeciles. The right of the Libs sees science as the enemy, fact is we have frittered away all of our natural advantages (or sold them off to foreign interests over time) so now we need to do some heavy lifting with innovation and value adding.
