While I like the idea of the tap and permanent flowing river at HM I am sceptical because of the aridity of the region. With just 250mm of rain and snow each year the climate seems to dry to support anything other than an intermittent water flow. I understand the Los Patos carchment is very large but it still seems a stretch to sustain a serious subterranean stream flow. IMHO.
