Come on DBT9, whats happening here?
The main source of reliable history is the Quran for that region. I'm not cherry picking anything. I've studied the Quran quite well. I'm an Iranian by birth and have had the Book ever present in my home life. Muslims persecute Baha'is in many countries, so I would love a good reason to put a stain on Islam, but honestly, having read the Quran "in context" I cannot possibly be accused of cherry picking. There is a flowing history to the Quran which is clear for all those that study it, and are not resorting to Islam hate websites for their accounts of so called "history".
The verses you quoted have been mistranslated AND you are not looking at the context. The verse is clearly referring to the Day of Judgement which is a Day according to all Abrahamic religions that will separate the believers from the unbelievers. The unbelievers will see torment in hell and will perish, just like the Christian Day of Judgement.
There's no call to kill anyone here DBT. Its a description of the Day of Judgement.
The mistranslation comes from the fact that word translated "to kill" in this verse is faqutila, and it actually means "to perish" because it is rooted in the phrase "qut". The word "to kill" is rooted in the phrase "qat" so "we will kill" becomes "sanuqatillu" , "I kill" becomes "qataltu". The root is "QAT", not "QUT"
Please, find a place in your heart to be honest with your search and not find what you can on hate websites that suit an anti-Muhammad agenda.
