Well we are certainly making up for it by throwing money at them, and giving them land which we, would have to pay for.
My view would be- put all this behind you and move on, or all welfare reverts to the same as white Australians get.The idea I’m attempting to get across is that throwing money at Aboriginal issues or simply ignoring our past will fail to have the desired impact if we cannot acknowledge our history.
By bringing to light the past of the nation we can then acknowledge the wrongs done to Aboriginals and then move forward as a more united nation.
That is IMO how we can ‘Lift the Shadow.’ that has blighted our nation.
