Every now and then I get a letter from my super fund telling me where I'm at, what my current scheme is and offering me the chance to change my investments to big returns via "high risk" or potentially stable returns via "moderate risk". At the end of the day, regardless of what you invest in, there is a level of risk and if you don't monitor the financial markets you can't really blame anyone else when it goes pear shaped. In my mind it makes as much sense as starting a class action against a body because they made a massive profit but you didn't invest because you never received a personal call from the CEO telling you it was about to surge.

In saying that I do get such calls, but neither the Zimbabwean Prince or call centre operator in Bangladesh can assure me the dollar will maintain its strength to deliver the returns they promise, as simple as it would be to just forward my bank account details.

If the action against CNP is even mildly successful then wait to see me in the media taking Holden to court because I bought a VE SS last December and the dealer made no attempt to tell me the pending rise in fuel prices. You buy in, you watch. You profit, you party. You lose, you live with the fact that every dollar you make is a dollar lost by someone else and get on with life. If you can't risk it then don't, but if you choose to anyway then save a couple of bucks for a box of kleenex as you may need them.
