So you reckon day off for shaving head for leukemia, for women's international day, for domestic violence awareness day, for pink ribbon day, for victims of road accidents. Yes, kids will be able to attend school only when they cannot think of a new cause to support. Multiple sclerosis day, mental illnesses day, tmj day.
Let's cancel school altogether and teachers can just stay home preparing that enormity of work which you claim kids do at home after marching around the streets all day.
Now let's see how far further Australia can fall in its already dismal place among other developed countries' achievement levels in basics like maths and language. We are already slipping badly in educational achievements.
Very clearly you have never been a teacher. How many hours of time wasted on preparing banners, arranging to get written permission from parents for their children to attend etc etc etc. Huge amount of wasted time, and certainly not just one day.
Since when is the school curriculum taken over by students? For what gain? Nothing to be gained at all.
