1 buyer 2000000 on the close, page-8

Frenchy, at 4pm the Market goes into Pre Open status and then any buy and sell orders go into the cue but are not traded. At 4.10pm there is a matchout of those orders.
What this thread is referring to is that one of the orders sitting on the buy side was for 2mill shares at 23 cents which at 4.10pm was matched with sellers for 20 cents giving us a 20 cent close.
The same thing happens in the morning but the pre open period is much longer from about 8am to 10am. At 10am the market opens with another match out from the mornings pre open.
If you watch the market depth, assuming you use an on-line broker, during these periods you can see it happen. If you don't have dynamic data (ie it changes live without refreshing) then just refresh your screen to see it happen.
