think of it like this

normal Powerball Jackpot is approx $4 million

last night was $12 million

if it went off, next week would be $4 million

because it didnt, then more people will have a punt on winning, so next week is $20 million, or $8 million more that last weeks $12 million

so, if the jackpot rises by $8million, then effectively JIN's revenue for ticket sales (theoretically) would have doubled

or, Ozlotto, went from $50million to $70million, so JIN's revenue for this week on Oz lotto should be 5 times normal

does that make sense?
