There is something like 2200 companies on the asx. Of those only a third turn a profit and the actual number that are growing in any meaningful way is tiny. Against that, have you ever heard of a CEO that has not pumped up the company tyres? It's part of the job!
I put money in to BRN with eyes wide open. We are at the extreme end of the spec market, total failure is the most likely outcome. If Peter can't make the tech work then it doesn't matter who is in the big boy chair. A new face will only delay the inevitable.
