The level of knowledge in general on this thread is embarrassing. A 'brick' is the term used for any one of thousands of different combinations of dozens of different compounds. How the brick is made is just as important as what's in it. Saying the brick contains sand is just as useless, there are dozens of different compositions of sand and the grain size and roughness of even the same sand composition also matters. Just ask any brickie or paving expert about the sand they use for different applications.

USA companies are setting up shop in the Middle East? Really? Where? Syria and Iran have sanctions added and removed on almost a daily basis by the US. All the Stan countries (save for Pakistan) are ex Soviet and under the influence of Russia which forms a huge bulk of their supply chain. Yemen, Somalia, Eritrea and Iraq are not stable enough for serious foreign investment. The Gulf States, Saudi, Israel are American friends, maybe add in Lebanon and possibly Jordan. Speculating that FBR will be used to rebuild the middle east flattened by war is simply absurd.
