As it stands todays announcement is pie in the sky or batshit crazy near term whichever you prefer. Spodumene is overflowing at the ports in China, there can be little other reason for the major re-rate down in pricing apart from oversupply, So was MS right or wrong? How long will it take to digest given most new product is still only ramping up? Major auto manufacturers continue with nothing much more than lip service towards the EV space and will continue to do so until they feel a real threat.
This is all before PLS and AJM hit nameplate on stage 1.
Before GXY YOP gets completed.
Before A40 YOP get completed.
Before Mt Marion YOP ramps up fully.
And last but not least its before MIN dumps another 750 ktpa of spodumene on top of it all by mid next year and PLS dump another 500 ktpa by start of 2021 from stage 2, etc.
That supply alone will be enough for 20/21 with plenty of other expansions possible.
Oh ya and AVZ, BGS and AGY will be producing by then too
