From memory. 130 Kms to the Moomba to Adelaide pipeline. But Probably about 160 kms to get around terrain and sensitive areas.
However it is about 400 Kms to Moomba gas processing plant (Cooper Basin).
If they did a deal with Santos - less onsite processing equipment would be needed but feasibility will demonstrate cost/benefit of either option.
The Pipeline taps into the entire East Coast pipeline system.
I can't comment on the capacity constraints but would have thought if they tapped into Moomba to Adelaide, that would mean less gas required from Moomba so it would simply substitute (i.e. even if it was sold to end users somewhere else on the pipeline network, physically it might end up in Adelaide). Of course, to do that the LCK methane would need to be processed to full production standard - that's a given.
Proximity to infrastructure (airport, town, highways, pipelines and power) was one of the early identified advantages of this project.
