Can't they?.......... It's called damages! There is no way in hell ACCC procrastination is not both STIFLING COMPETITION and CAUSING FINANCIAL DAMAGE. TPM paid a record for spectrum they can't use properly, 2 Government decisions (Huawei anyone?) have left them floundering with BOTH being made AFTER the record spectrum payment. Government should either refund some money or extend spectrum licenses for 12 months and then ACCC should pay "costs" associated with the delay. The decision to delay like this is one of the worst I have personally seen the ACCC make, it's a no-brainer, I'm sure they've done worse but certainly not in the last decade or two.
Ps: Looking forward to my special dividend when it comes! It will be very special indeed
Pps: what do you call a company with a $10 shareprice, paying a large fully franked special dividend, distributing "in-specie" a share in a Monopoly breaking provider of telecommunications in one of the highest density populated areas in the world, with one of the highest per-capita incomes in the world?
