When the fab process is complete as early as end of Q2 (tmt analysis), 4ds will have recipe ready for mass production of this next gen chips. After that it is straight forward process. Put 4ds array in IMEC vehicle for the customer to make inform decision about the tech. All the potential Buyers will bid for this tech. My question is why WDC will wait for that long ? WDC knows this tech very well. they actually helped to develop it and they have inside knowledge. They have partnership with IMEC as well.
My point is as soon as the fab process is complete, Should not WDC come forward and make an offer. Otherwise price will sky rocket when other buyers steps in. If so, we will see the TO as early as July (given that fab process is success) 3 months from now.
