I agree I do not believe that the Opes affairs have been factored into ANZ sahre price. The only reason why ANZ is not further south at the moment is the continued rumours about HSBC bidding for it.
If ANZ loses a few court actions, it will lead to a crisis of confidence in the management and the bank itself and the share price will then duly reflect it. Market is often quite savage on negative news.Compounded it hedge funds shorting, the share price reaction can be quite severe. It is the confidence that will drive the share price down and not the actual amount whih I would agree is really not that significant.
