    It is very rare for a bubble to slightly ease. I can't remember one can you.

    Take a look at other commodities, now and in the past.

    Even the soft commodities have had massive drops recently.

    I even see comments on this thread that BHP has always made new highs.

    Well of course it has and will but we are talking about inflated currency. Would $20 for share X be worth more than $10 for share X 30 years ago? Of course not.

    If you sat on BHP and it rose 50% in price over the next 10 years you will be losing money.

    The point is that that yes, BHP may have a lot more upside but waiting till the fundamentals turn down will be much too late to sell. By then it will have lost a lot while everyone is screaming it doesn't make sense.

    Look at the charts, study history, there is nothing new under the sun, all is repetition and there is no its different this time.

    Where is this pent up demand, I suspect it is in the hopes of share holders.

    And I might be completely wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

    One of the major rules of trading is not to fall in love with a stock.
