On top of the Christmas card list insult, another faux pas by our esteemed CEO when he said "the deal is too important to walk away from lightly after all the work...."
That isn't the way to express matters in Asian business. Personal relationships come before any deals.
Putting the deal first is simply crass and will reflect poorly on him and on CYP in Fuji's estimation (and in my estimation).
He should have sad something like "our close relationship with Fuji is far too important to us to even consider for a moment walking away from".
Say nothing about any deals.
Thats two stuff-ups in one answer.
