I tossed up whether or not to burn anymore finger calories on this thread, there were some fruitful discussions starting to take place, some understand as to what a forum is about and that we can all learn from each other. Most of us are here to make a $'s and some more.
@TheDerivative @RTFQ and @kiwinigma I have no intentions of competing for posting rights here, and hence I will leave the resident cheerleader/s to enlighten you with their superior knowledge.
But before I mosey along.
I would just like to add/maybe educate a little in relation to the Snowy 2.0 project that has been used here as a comparison.
From post 37965535 "While 14D says it can make 100 megawatt storage at a Company cost of $70 Million. So based on 20 times to 2000MW it would only cost 14D $1.4 Billion using 14D technology."
Snowy 2.0 $4.5 billion Generation capacity 2000MW
175 hours of storage which equates to 350,000 MWh
So using 100MWh/$70,000,000 as a cost comparison, it would cost 14d around $245,000,000,000 or 245 Billionor nearly 1/4 of a trillion to build an equivalent size storage device as Snowy 2.0.
That would make one extremely interesting and ambitious cap raise to take to the market.
I could tell you as to what has actually been said, and show the cost comparisons figures based of what has been said, figures which I have already calculated, figures which are > than $1.4 billion but < $245 billion, but as I said, I'm going to mosey along.
I would suggest that some spend a little more time doing their home work. Class dismissed.
