Good Morning. Yes they do look like remarkable coincidences. Do you also consider fundamentals to add to sentiment, timing and price action. I guess sentiment is the reflexive thing that George Soros talks about -if the fundamentals are good then sentiment follows. But as an investor, we would like to have an educated punt at "future" sentiment and not wait for the chart to tell us. For example, the following fact from economist John Garnaut today in SMH might give bhp a sentiment boost a few weeks ahead:
"China's central bank would have to buy the equivalent of two Midwest Corporations every day to park this sort of money. It would have to conduct the equal of Chinalco's share raid on Rio Tinto every five days, or buy four BHP Billitons every year. The world is not used to thinking in numbers like these."
