Westy mate , two outfits ,woodside using gas to hydrogen ( blue hydrogen ) and yara using water to hydrogen ( green hydrogen ) in the Pilbara. Yara have got engie building a 100 Mw solar/wind setup for their hydrogen pilot plant , due 2021. Woodsides , not too sure what's going on. Of course they need to mark some time while the local aboriginal tribe and their consortium build the 11 Gw solar/wind set up.
Huge Pilbara wind and solar project may get even bigger as focus turns to green hydrogen
I've put this link up , mainly for the used shipping fuel angle. We know vessels of these sizes have their own desal plants onboard , what if they could produce their own hydrogen for their fuel source?
" Between them, the tankers delivering the cargoes will probably burn something like 220 tonnes of fuel each day while carrying the gasoline, and about 160 tonnes when empty, according to figures compiled by Bloomberg based on data from Clarkson Research Services. If the carriers made a round trip, that would work out at about 19,000 tonnes of heavy fuel being burned. "
