Who is Mahathir and Malaysia for negociating in behalf of Lynas defrnding who should own the LAMP in the future?
I asume first Lynas should know what are the new conditions to comply with new rules imposed to decide by themselves if Japan is the best partner (as it has been demonstrated in difficult times in the past).
I love Australia, but WES offer is totally an insult for shareholders aside of deal a dirty game hand to hand with Governement.
Lynas shareholders deserve a decent price if Japan takes over the company. And I cannot think under a price of 6-7 AUD
Japan use REE's a an intermediate elements for high value products, so indeed percentage they represent in the value chain are minimal but essential. Therefore a price of 6-7 AUD should be in the cards.
We can not defend that low REE's prices situation at present justifies 2.25 WES offer. This a temporary issue in a long term and excelent business.
Shareholders are in the middle supporting a company for more than 10 years. Time to be compensated for all this long suffering.
In any case, I asmire Amanda Lacaze for been so brave turning around Lynas as well as her courage and inteligence every day in this business.
