No, the kilns are cheap, standard pieces of equipment. But large. Almost certainly better off buying new. The refractory linings would need replacing anyway, they won’t travel. Yes, expensive to run, but that’s nothing to do with capital cost.
You need to go back and read the history of Lynas from c. 2008 onwards through the ASX announcements to understand how poorly it was set up. There is still no permanent operating licence, nor any provision for one. The tax free period has turned out to be a bad joke for shareholders, as the LAMP could only ever be in a position to pay tax if Nd/Pr prices went through the roof.
