No mention at all about the huge load on the national grid if a significant number of BEVs are charging at once. Wimpy and unreliable renewables can't make up the shortfall even with baseload power stations in place. More of the latter need to be built despite all the BS propaganda by the greens and other clueless idiots.
As for the price of BEVs - by 2030 the average price of one would have dropped to around $30-40000.
Typical of politicians to leave out important facts to convince the simpletons. I for one am not convinced that EVs are going to save us - by the time every one can get one the cost of running them (charging, maintenance, depreciation etc) will be higher than that of an ICE.
Make no mistake - governments and corporations will do everything they can to fleece us with "new" technology.
I've said before that long range fuel cell EVs are a much better proposition for Australia given our vast distances. BEVs should be confined to city and metropolitan areas only due to their shorter range.
