You heard of "fight the good fight" from Christian writings and in the Qur'an there were God sanctioned battles, I think in Muhammad''s time he went on 80 military excursions and only 20 resulted in battles - only 1000 odd died including 300 odd Muslims. One battle God allowed 70 of the opponents to die and another battle 70 Muslims.
Forget about Mohamed's wars. More to the point is how many people have been killed in the 21st century alone, which is not even 2 decades old.
PS why would God allow anybody to die?

That's something that religious sects share. They all attribute lack of sight to those who disagree with them, but continue to kill each other over disagreements. Christians kill Christians. Muslims kill Muslims. Christians kill Muslims, Muslims kill Christians.... and so on. Do you wonder why the non-religious see no sense in religion?
