comsec advised me that the deferred settlement means that the sales are not settled until they change from being deferred settlement to the normal settlement i.e., from being deferred settlement and you don't pay for the buy until after the 11th or whatever they start trading again as the old codes, eg, GDA, GDAOA, GDAOB, and GDAOC. I haven't checked the date but the notice yesterday from the company said the record date is the 10th june. It appears if you sell , just like the buy, the trade is not settled until the 10th or 11th but best to check with your broker or trading platform or the share registry.
