Well this is once again a bit ambiguous, but the significance is in the first sentence:

" ... Audio Pixels is pleased to update its shareholders that the refinement of the fabrication processes is in its final stages, with a newly refined batch of “full structure” based wafers due shortly after the Easter / Passover holiday ... "

The numbered paragraph following indicates that the refinements quoted in the introduction above have all been made and the company is now waiting for a batch of (hopefully!) finished wafers - shortly after Easter/Passover. These should yield "repeatable production of reliable devices" in volume!

" ... 1. The company received and measured the initial test wafers that incorporated our newly devised, mechanisms for suppressing the adverse charging effects. Meticulous characterization of these wafers confirmed all key specifications of our full structured devices. While the results of these initial test wafers were exceptional, it was reasonable to anticipate certain imperfections in the first iteration of a newly designed fabrication process. Based on information obtained from these measurements and through close cooperation with its vendor, we were able to identify a number of deficiencies in the process, and devise suitable remedies to achieve repeatable production of reliable devices. ... "

This leaves room for further problems, but if there are none then the next step will be to get these validated chips packaged, and ready to demo. The process for this has already been announced as being routine and straightforward.

My underlinings of the comments clarify at least one status point, namely that the new structures meet all key specs. i.e. they do what they were designed to do: namely, play hi quality audio at the desired levels etc.

It is unfortunate that nobody at AudioPixels seems to take the time to think about how much shareholders will understand of what they announce, what they might find ambiguous, and how much is left unsaid and simply assumed to be clear from ambiguous comments that have been said previously. It would be great if they put out an announcement that incorporated and updated all previously announced progress. Please! Just once!
