I'm not sure that politicians have the same motivations as the rest of us, not sure that offerring higher salaries will necessarily mean a higher standard of politician
they are in it for the power
I don't object to their current salaries but I do object to the perks and entitlements they get and the exemption from the super rules which the rest of us - whom they represent - are bound by
