My take is that.... It says something peculiar about a person that would post such a statement on Facebook, where it reveals their actual name. As opposed to Hot copper, where you remain anonymous.
As for his statement; I think he just has some perpetual resentment towards FBR as a disgruntled former employee, and just wants to state the fact that any surface that needs to be glued together MUST be prepared and cleaned prior for optimal results.
