Strohotte and the other guy are not "spending their own money" buying shares. Those two directors on the board are directors of Glencore, which as well as owning 40% of Murrin Murrin outright also owns more than 50% of MRE shares.
Glencore appears to have been buying up to 3% of MRE each six months for ages, as they are allowed to under the takeover laws. From time to time Glencore has also been selling some MRE apparently. Strohotte and the other guy are executives of Glencore and directors of Minara and thats why they are disclosing that relevant interest.
If you think they are spending their own money buying Minara shares, you are either woefully misinformed or intentionally trying to deceive us. Take you pick. Either way, its not a good look.
