Your new set of analogies are no better than the first, all of them entail mild cost to benefit ratios, study hard for a payoff in the future, etc, etc, which does not entail any sort of actual torture or actual evil.....That is what you miss. Nothing you have offered so far accounts for the PoE. Not even close.
