Well actually it's not.

The accepted baseline for price movements is that it is random. We can't know what any one participants motives are, their sentiment, future plans etc. Assigning anything other than a random explanation for price movement IS speculation.

That speculation is called Technical Analysis. So no my eye is not untrained, I understand the technical concepts you seek to apply based on what you believe to be positive expected outcomes. I just don't believe you can use it reliably and consistently.
