I don't think you appreciate the scale of FGM globally.

According to this Egypt alone has 87% of the female population suffering from FGM which is over 40million in that country alone. A country that is 91% Muslim. It says 70% in the UNCF report below down from 97% 30 years ago.

Globally the numbers are still rising because of the population growth. If the 200million global figure is correct that's an appalling 1 in 19 woman/girls that have been abused with FGM. With Egypt alone at 34 - 42 million I suspect 200million is far too low in reality.
