Son number 1 has asked to borrow some money a couple of times, I sent more than requested. Don't expect to be paid back, he has had to give up being a chef and is out of work ATM. Thinks he will be ok until he gets a job even though his wife is only working part-time while she finnishes her studies and does work experience but knows I will help if required.
Son number 1 is great, no problems there at all.
With number 2 it's complicated, only father figure he has had was his grandfather so for him a dad seems a bit strange. Brought him a car to learn to drive in and offered to give lessons, said it was best for him to let me know when he had time for a lesson and I would try to accommodate. Teenagers are far busier and have more pressing matters than us parents
Gave him one lesson and didn't ask again. Provided money for driving lesson, didn't do so well at the first test. He was rather negative about getting his licence and didn't seem to apply himself, I was disappointed he sold the car for less than what I would have given to take it off his hands. I was never told, far as I know he still has not licence.
At one point not long after I first meet him he asked me for money to go down south for leavers, gave him some but not as much as he asked for.
This one may need a steady girlfriend to settle him down.
