    First off I see both the pros and cons in the gun laws that were introduced here.

    I don't see it very relevant though to use figures from the UK considering the distance between the UK and the rest of Europe where there are varying levels of guns laws and ownership. The situation in the UK is not to much different to what it was here in Australia prior to the new laws where you could drive from WA to NT or Qld buy a gun that was illegal in WA and drive back to WA.

    I also agree that regardless of the laws in place those who desire to obtain guns out side the law will still obtain those guns.

    But rampage is making some foolish arguement to justifying owning guns that are now illegal on the grounds police now have more powerful weapons.

    Anyone IMO who feels they need a gun that out guns or at least matched the fire power of the police is the type of person who should never be allowed near any sort of gun.
