PC gamer here (mainly Apex,Dota,CSGO,PUBG). You can monetise all you want, but it will all come down to the quality of game play that will determine the success of games.People tend to hate on Pay-to-win games. Similar to CDH, after a certain point i had to spend money to progress further because it was near impossible to pass those levels with the towers i had, and the insane prices of crates(spent about $200) compared to the $50 price tag of AAA or Early access games where i can play for years. Microtransactions (different cosmetics are the real money makers) because it doesn't influence the gameplay balance(Fornite,pubg,dota,wow). I'm very competitive, which is why i personally don't play mobile games for their money grabs, clash of clans etc. - but hey, if it makes me money on the ASX i'm not going to complain about it.

Blockchain games are a new breed, that i don't have experience with. I am interested in this F1 game, but we have yet to see the quality of the actual game play/replay value which will determine the success of it.
