The announcement released by the company supports your claim Geo_au. If we read through each section with a reasonable and level headedness it would make more sense to analyse the current situation a little more accurately.
1 Overview of basis for Decision to Mine.
For those who are aware of the historical circumstances of this company in the Solomons Islands it is extremely important to look openly, whilst also considering every hurdle (Point 2) that has been met by Government, Axiom Mining, Land Owners and Shareholders, including those civilians that reside in the SI.
The review has given a very candid and open statement of the companies basis to mine. It does not ignore the SH's, in-fact it mentions this within the release of this document and IMO demonstrates the shrewd and practical abilities of land owners and management. I recommend reading the whole of the "San Jorge Nickel Mine Update" as it seems to be quite open about the mining details without giving opposing companies or opponents of Axiom Mining an opportunity to undermine or gain advantage over what has been landowner's and our, investment.
As far as risk, it has its risks, but that is what investment and speculative stocks are which in turn relate to returns and profit.
